NIPCCD to have two new regional centres

National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development (NIPCCD) is in process of opening of two new regional centres at Mohali (Punjab) and Bihata, Patna (Bihar). The Government of Punjab has provided them a piece of land for regional centre at Mohali. The Government of Bihar has also provided them a piece of land for regional centre at Bihata (Patna), however, the land is yet to be wholly transferred to the institute.

Review of training needs of States/UTs is a continuous process and new training Centres are approved based on proposal received from States/UTs wherever considered necessary. Anganwadi Workers Training Centres (AWTC) and Middle level Training Centres (MLTC) are opened by the states/UTs with approval of Centres Government, depending on training requirement of Anganwadi Workers/ Helpers and Supervisors. A total of 498 AWTCs and 30 MLTCs are already operational in states UTs are as per details in annexure.
