Shri. Thaawarchand Gehlot, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment  inaugurated the 3 days aids and appliances distribution programme of Tricycle, Wheel chairs, Artificial Limbs, Callipers, Splints, CP Chair, Walking Stick, Smart Cane, Daisy Player, CD-Player,  Braille Kit,  Cricket Ball, Hearing Aids Teaching Learning Materials, with many other orthosis & prothesis devices for  persons with Disabilities.

Around 4000 persons with disabilities are identified and received aids and appliances during assessment camp held in the various places Thamarassery, Koyilandi, Vadakara and Kozhikode during 10th – 20th August 2015 across Kerala have been received tailor made aids and appliances at Emerald Ground, Swapna Nagari, Kozhikode.

National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities [NIEPMD], an apex body of Govt. of India for Multiple Disabilities organised the event in collaboration with Govt. of Kerala; Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation (ALIMCO) & Composite Regional Center for Persons with Disabilities(CRC) Kozhikode.
